The Last Day of the Year and New Year's Day
Everybody is busy:
My brother, with bill-collecting;
My mother, with (ornament of削除) New Year's decoration;
I, with delivery of year-end presents.
Everywhere in town:
People are in a hurry;
The sun shines;
Something glistens.
Up in a light-blue sky
a Siberian black kite was wheeling in silence.
Everybody dressed in his or her best:
My brother, in a (crested削除) ceremonial coat
[with the family crest挿入];
((crested ←this means to have feathers on top such as a crested
My mother, in her Sunday best;
I, in a long-sleeved kimono.
Everywhere in town:
People enjoy themselves, (in削除) merrymaking;
New Year's decoration pines are put up at the gates;
It snows in pallets, scattering.
Up in a light-blue sky
A Siberian black kite was flying in a large circle.

The Red Signal
the storm-warning signal is still red
against [the挿入] sunset colors;
Under the signal
calves are at play.
Since when [has挿入]
the signal (has削除) been kept up, I wonder;
Nobody talks about it
any more.
The storm-warning signal is still red
against [the挿入] sunset colors:
The red is a sign of stormy weather
which may hit us sooner or later.
